The way I learned it in trade school, there are two types of boat cable, AWG and SAE. AWG has more copper for the same size. Make sure when you are comparing prices that you are comparing apples to apples. The ABYC tables are for AWG wire.

You can always look for a deal on Amazon. I assume you were referring to We$t Marine.

Try also WOlf's Marine in Benton Harbor, Mich. NOS, clearance etc. Home Page call them. Lots of inventory is not on their site. I have found many deals as low as 30% of We$t.

I work for a machine builder. I can haul wire from the dumper. If it was tinned I would have copper ballast.
