We started out with four 53 watt panels
with a wind generator
The WG worked, but we LOST
more electricity to the shading from it than we gained from it when the wind blew.
We finally chopped it off and got MORE electricity.
Next, we added four more panels
and had all the power we could possibly use with refrigeration
, HAM, electric windlass
The radar mounted above the panels would be a similar impediment.
Whether or not solar or wind would be better for you depends on where you are going to sail.
