Victron 24v 200ah
Victron is expensive, but has the best cell monitoring and safety cut offs on top of being the most energy dense of the reputable brands.

Re: What lithium battery did you buy and why.
I recently installed and commisioned 4 Roamer Smart4 24V/230AH batts on our boat.
Great Batteries! Built in 300A BMS, Canbus plug n play with victron, and Roamer pre and post sales support is nothing less than brilliant. Out of all the LiFePo4 batts I researched they are the best bang for your buck without question. Very happy with my decision.

Re: What lithium battery did you buy and why.
Pulled out the diesel in 2008 and converted to electric propulsion and never looked back. Used four 8A4D AGM's until two years ago. Then switched to an Allied Lithium 105 amp 48 volt battery as a replacement. Liked the single package with no links between batteries. Also Bluetooth monitoring of the battery and individual cells. Very happy with the switch along with 400 lbs in weight savings.

Re: What lithium battery did you buy and why.
Fresh; another Epoch satisfied customer here...kept my flooded acid starter but replaced 2 flooded acid house batteries with two 100amp, 12V Epoch's about 1.5 yrs ago....USA company, internal BMS, quality construction, and they dropped into the space for my old 2 batteries. Electricity needs mostly instruments, chartplotters, AIS, VHF, oh, and nav/internal lights. Can drain them down to significantly < 50% (and I have) and they come back. thnks

Re: What lithium battery did you buy and why.
Relion RB100 4 house batteries
Relion HP100 1 starter battery -
They do not have a built-in bluetooth for the BMSs. The RB100 are in parallel. HP100 cannot be in parallel. The starter and the house batteries are separated by an ACR.
According to Relion which has been making LP batteries for motor homes, motor cycles, etc. etc. these batteries should work with our installation which includes a 150 amp alternator with external regulator programed according to Relion's recommendations. We do not have solar and for shore power use a Xantrex Freedom XC 2000 pro inverter charger. So far no problems with this system but we only have a year's worth of experience. Relion was acquired by Brunswick Corp Advanced system in 2021
West Marine had a great sale on these batteries so we decided to gamble on their performance. Will share experiences both good and bad going forward.

Re: What lithium battery did you buy and why.
We "bought" 8 x 228amp/hr Big Battery Seal LFP's 5 years ago. I use quotes around bought. We ordered 4. They canceled the order 3 days later for no reason. I called in and spoke to customer service and placed another order for 4 batteries. They showed up a few days later. A few days after that the first order showed up, but they never charged my credit card. For 2 months I called and emailed to fix this and they never respond. Almost 2 years later I got an email that said not to worry. They screwed up to my benefit while they were in the middle of splitting their 12/24v part of the company from their 48v part of the company.

Then, after sitting inactive on my work bench for 3 weeks, it appears to have malfunctioned:
Zero voltage at the posts.
Will not accept a charge.
Bluetooth connection is gone.
I have tried to "wake up" the BMS by applying various loads and charge sources, with no change.
Battery temp never went below freezing. Battery was brought inside the house overnight. No change.
Perhaps a "too good to be true" price is just that.

I also bought the same battery during Black Friday based on a few reviews. I've not used it much since charging it up to 100% and letting the cells balance.
Have you tried a warranty claim yet? Please post how the warranty claim goes - good or bad.

There is a chance that will not wake up a BMS of a non Dakota Lithium. Either the BMS will not reset, or the charger itself will not start to charge what it considers to be a dead battery. There are few ways to address this one of which is to jump start it with another battery.

Re: What lithium battery did you buy and why.
Replaced three old 105Ah AGMs with two Epoch 12300's. Kept LA start batteries. Added a Victron Orion TR DC to DC.

Re: What lithium battery did you buy and why.
I went with two LiTime 280 Ah blue tooth/cold protected for the house. When they were on sale for black Friday. I also have a Litime 100Ah for my navigation system and running lights.
I will be charging the house mostly on solar/wind. I can also charge from the gel start battery/alternator using a Victron 50 Amp dc/dc charger. The navigation battery will be charged from the house bank with a Victron 18 Amp dc/DC charger.
Going this route I can use any alternator that fits the bracket and I don't need anything special for the alternator/regulator.
I chose the LiTime mostly based upon the reviews of people here and a good price. If they last more than 5 years I will be happy.

Thank's for the idea, but alas, it failed to wake up the battery.
Using jumper cables, I connected the battery (no spark) to an automobile battery that measured 14.55 volts before, during, and after the connection. The connection was maintained for 2 minutes. Bluetooth remained non-functional during the connection.

I have just begun an attempt at returning the battery. It appears there will be a few hoops to jump through. I'll let you know how it goes.

A solution in the back of my Litime Manual is to connect it to solar output of of 18-36 volts for 3 -10 seconds. Try your warranty claim first!

Re: What lithium battery did you buy and why.
We upgraded July of 24 to ecoworthy 280 ah, 12 volt. 4 of them. Chose for size to fit a space.
So far they have performed very well
