What is the fuse size for a Zeus 2 9"?

I did not see anything in the documentation about the amperage. I either misplaced the fuse or did not get one with my unit. Also, I did not see any markings on the power cable. I am looking to install a circuit breaker for the unit.

Thanks in advance!

I think my Simrad draws a maximum of about 3.65amps and it powers my radar. I doubt the Zeus draws much more.

Google the Zeus 3 installation manual. It recommends a 3 amp fuse for the 9 inch. The manual for Zeus 2 didn't have this info, but I don't think power consumption of the two units is different.

Put it on a separate breaker if you want, but you will still want to use a fuse. Fuse protects Zeus; breaker protects wiring.

You don't need a separate fuse if you put the Zeus on a dedicated 5 amp circuit breaker.

B&G specifies a 3 amp fuse. I didn't think you could buy a 3 amp circuit breaker.

It draws 11.9 watts, and specifies overprotection to 36 volts, so that points to a 3 amp fuse.

My Zeus 2 did not come with a fuse either, despite it being mentioned as included in the manual.
