Went LiFePO4: Ditch Benny for H2O maker?

Opinions wanted (sheeesh on this forum) wrt both suitability for coastal FL and Bahamas cruising AND for resale value

2007 Hunter 38. Recently replaced 400Ahr AGM with 400 AHr LFE, replaced shore power charger and added 30 A DC-DC charger to charge LFE from stock 80A internally regulated Hitachi alternator. 630 W solar on MPPT charger

I have a problematic Fischer-Panda 4200 generator.

Given the significant improvement in useability from LFE I’m considering adding an additional 200Ahr LFE battery, upgrading the alternator to externally regulated maybe 120A, adding Argofet, charging the house directly from that, turning the DC-DC around to charge the start battery, and then removing the generator and repurposing the space and through bull for a water maker.

Thoughts ?

How much do you find yourself using the gen and to power what? I think that'll be the big question that tells whether you'll miss it or not.

Practically the only thing I ran the generator for was to charge batteries. I may have run heat or a/c when it was on, like maybe 2-3 times, but would not have run it just for those things. We don't find we need them when on the hook.
