I have a Universal M-18 with the ammeter installation
. I need this to be replaced to increase my alternator
efficiency, remove the infamous "trailer connector" and to replace it with a voltmeter. Any ideas on what to do with the alternator
output? I was thinking of jumping it less than a foot to the starter lug so it gets a direct path to the battery
switch, then to the battery
. would i have to fuse it? how would you do it?
