Trojan t105re batteries

I have a new bank of t105re Trojans 8 series/parallel = 900 a/hrs
Magnasine ms2800 inverter/charger

Looking for experience on this combo and charger settings.
New installation and no problems just want longest life.
Presently run gen 2-3 hr/day to make water,Heat water, Charge batteries etc. adding 780 watts of solar soon to reduce gen time.
Current usage is 125- 200 a/hrs per 12 hr cycle. Depending on load
Lots of usage I know but got to have those conveniences, ice maker, fridge, tv, lights, wife's hair drier, etc. Not a camper!
90% time on the hook.
All LED lighting, dialed down to min settings on refrigeration etc.
Not interested in power saving suggestions, I believe I have it dialed in as close as possible.
Just looking for info on batt banks and charge settings.
Thanks I advance

Re: Trojan t105re batteries

how big is your gen and is is pretty loaded durring running water etc or do you have room left? with 900ah you should have a bigger charger if you can. add another 100a charger for 200a+ total. and will reduce gen run time and better for batteries. right now you're only charging at ~10% of battery capacity

do you have the BMK kit for the inverter?

you should look up the bulk and float voltages of that battery online and use those numbers.

also make sure you adjust the absortion time on the inverter screen. there is a graph in the book for time vs bank size. probbaly 2.5-3 hours or so. it has to be changed in the screen. the default is pretty low

Plenty big for my usage rarely Run A/C etc 7.5kw lots of room
Charger rated at 120 amps, also have 60 amp back up charger but it is tied to the engine bank don't want to mix the two if I don't have too (can do with batt switch)

the BMK is a battery monitor kit for the magnums. just cheaper as it uses the same screen. but it's a pain to go through sub menus. 702 is easier to use.
