Bill's comment is on the money. Our gel batteries lasted 15 years. I suggest you check everything else before you spend money on batts you may not need.
Remember, that no matter how big yor batts are, what goes out must be put back in.

I only had (2) 85 watt panels. Was going to add just one more, but then I found a place selling 120s for dirt. And I had to get 2 just for symmetry.

And I'm upping the bank to 555 Ah too.
