I agree, why use solder if you don't need to?
But, resistance is interesting - regarding
VHF
. I feel like the soldered
VHF
connections have to be better than the crimped, right?

I've been soldering and crimping for about sixty years now and have had a lot more failures with crimped connections than soldered.
