Sea water = 0.2 Ω/m (Ohms per meter)
Drinking water = 2 to 200 Ω/m
Deionized water - 180000 Ω/m
The
electrical characteristics of water is usually measured by "Conductivity", which is usually measured in
micro- or millisiemens per centimeter (
uS/cm or mS/cm). Conductivity is formally defined as the reciprocal of resistivity.
Sea water has a conductivity of
about 50 mS/cm (or 50,000 μS/cm).
