Surge & Voltage protection

Any thoughts on a surge protector that also protects about voltage spikes? The electricity in my location is pretty sketchy, which for that matter it seems more common than not that that what you plug into is sketchy. I am considering this https://www.amazon.com/Hardwired-EMS...04A32CGI&psc=1

The device you linked to is an AC protector.
If you are concerned about spikes (AKA transien5t high voltages, Spikes etc) along your 12volt DC (most likely origins) then you could simply use the 'Voltage clamp' described here as 'Voltage spikes': (Bi-directional is best: They go between the positive and negative)



Check with electronics people if suitable for your application, perhaps get a few, they are low cost, and put across the DC supply of all circuits that supply electronic gear for best protection.
