Can anyone recommend an electrical study course over the internet. Really need to get up to speed on all the different applications for the cruising life.

I suspect you mean most if not all the various systems. But, the majority are topics in and of themselves. I don't know of too many courses other than Starpath but I do know of quite a few authors.
Mr. Kollmann wrote two books on refridgeration. ssulivan has one and I think is quite happy with it. Mr Kollmann appears from time to time on the forum also.

I found it very useful to buy a few books on 12 volt DC and 120 AC systems for yachts when I first started running a small researchboat. Just reading through them was very helpful. There are quite a number of them listed on Amazon.com
I don't know if there is an actual course out there.
