SS1-50 or SS2-50 for US marinas?

Old boat is gone and with it the shore power cords. Getting new cord for new boat and I'm now confused about the SS1 vs SS2 connectors. What's the norm for most US marinas? Will and SS1 cord work with an SS2 marina? Vice versa?

The SS2 connector (4 conductor, 50A 125/250V split phase) is much more common. The SS1 connector (3 wire, 50A 125V) is very rare in marinas (more common to find it on older boats, but even then it's not terribly common).
