Re: Split-phase 2xVictro Quattro System

The charles transformers had some cool power boosting features but it's the standard syle transformer which makes it much bigger and heavier. I couldn't fit it anywhere

Was very close to getting the larger victron transformer, but just couldn't get past the jumper wire selectors for voltage. I can do it but if I had to explain it to someone helping it would be a pain. Prefer an easier to use mistake proof way to switch inlet voltage.

https://shop.pkys.com/split-phase-inverter.html

Found this article. I says what I was trying to say but clearer and with pictures so it's easier to understand the why's of both ways to set up the system.

Re: Split-phase 2xVictro Quattro System

Oh that's interesting that the 230 ones can be made to do 240/60. I wrote that approach off because they didn't have quattros capable of doing 240 raw. Oh well. I still like the redundancy of two inverters so if something fails I can set it all up as a single-leg until I get a replacement. But yeah, it has downsides for sure.

Another option is to parallel two of them. Then run them to n autotransformer like the article. Gives you the redundancy and the load sharing advantages of both setups.

Yeah, what I might do is take this setup and just stick an autotransformer out the back side as a balancer, if I find that it's an issue.
