Kind of sorta. It is made by Mazda in the same plant as the Miata, but had a fiat engine and of course different body work. Hiroshima I believe, yes the Bomb place.
It is a very interesting engine as it has no throttle plate and therefore no pumping losses, just like a Diesel.
I think spark ignition engines and Diesels are converging myself.
