Re: Slightly swelling Trojans

Replace if you want to, but not because of swelling.

Well coddled may be above 80% State of Health even after 6 years.

Mistreated could be EoL, even dangerous, in a much shorter time.

You would def see performance drop before then if you're periodically keeping logs, time to get to endAmps is an obvious one.

But only a 20-hour load test will accurately show their SoH%.

R12 6 x 59lb 354lbs(160.5KG) 600ah
T105 6 x 62lb 372lbs(168.7KG) 675ah

So yes the Rolls are 8KG lighter total, but you loose 75ah of usable capacity. The only way I can see you saving 80KG is if you are installing 1/2 the capacity.

Just for fun, I also did Oasis Firefly batts.
Firefly 6 x 75lbs 450lbs(204KG) 660ah
Hoping at some point to go down to around 450ah bank. Two Rolls S680 6v weigh 56kg each. So 112kg. I'm also ditching the starter battery that been a passenger for the past year of so.

True. Not easy to find a 6v 11.25a load to run a 20 test.
