Re: should I replace this fuse?

These things are cents , just how tight is your budget, replace it.

AND ask yourself why it over heated , you need to get to the bottom of that.

Re: should I replace this fuse?

It melted the fuse plastic (and possibly the holder) and you still want to use it?

Was it appropriately sized for the job and it didn't blow?

Guess you have other electrical issues to figure out before you start something on fire.

My god... is this a troll?

NO! You can not keep using it! You have a major problem. You have high resistance in this connection and need to fix that.

The country it was made in is not the issue. The issue it that you want to keep using it! Do NOT blame anybody else for your crazy cheapness!

Or burn your boat the the water, your choice.

Notice to everybody who has trouble buying insurance: THIS stupidity is exactly why insurance companies do not want to insure older, less expensive boats!!!!

I agree, fuse is still OK, use it!
And if the plastic further melts, use some alu foil wrapped around it; it is all low amps (10 amp)

and for those who did not get the trolling joke, I would say the original poster (Smac) is one of the most knowledgeable posters here on issues electrocity
