SEACOURSE Auto Helmsman

I have a quite old, I am sure, Seacourse Auto Helmsman tiller autopilot. I have the manual also. Hooked it up to a battery away from the boat and seems to work. I am somewhat reluctant to install it, as parts are certainly an issue. The previous owner said it was installed at one time and was working when he removed it many years ago, when he gave up cruising. It is a massive thing and appears well cared for.

Anyone know anything about these pilots. Searched internet, and several forums with negative results.
