Re: Safety fuses

All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangereous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. T.E. Lawrence

Re: Safety fuses

A good few years ago I tested that 2000 Amp slow blow fuse. I was working under the hood of 5 ton military 6x6 truck that had 4 large batteries wired in series-parallel to give 24 volts, anyway I dropped 1/2x9/16 long box end wrench and guess what, one end hit the frame and the other hit the positive lug of the starter solenoid. It instantly welded itself in place and in about a second turned white hot and the center fell out.

Other than the wrench no damage to anything else and I learned to hold on to my wrenches.
