Rutland 1200 wind generator reviews please

Hiya


I would be very grateful on feedback on the newer version Rutland 1200 wind turbine.


They claim to be the quietest and one of the first to start working in low wind speeds... but I just saw a post about a controller failing.


That was another attraction for me - having a controller that can handle solar as well.



Rutland have 10% off 'til the end of the month so looking at ordering shortly unless anyone convinces me otherwise.

PS Yes I know solar seems to be way more popular these days and I only have 80W and a 200Ah bank, but I like the idea of avoiding a massive arch, having another charging source, and being able to run electronics when sailing in the dark.

I was looking at that turbine as well but decided to go with the Primus silent x with their little ampmeter control box. I didn’t like the idea of having a large Expensive external controller hanging around the boat.
