I am currently redoing the
wiring bits not he
boat, the 12vdc stuff is reasonably straight forward to try and keep to ABYC.
But it gets a bit tricky when doing the 120vac, they (ABYC) want to all the terminals to be crimped / heat sealed and ringed. Sounds straight forward except, modern 120vac Outlets ( duplex receptacles ) have captured screws as part of the assembly process. So if you take them all the way out to put the ring on, you will be also destroying the threaded ends fo the terminating screw on the outlet. Seems a bit counterproductive if your goals is have everything nice and tight.
I’m going to use hook terminals instead .... not damage to the outlet terminal screws, and not easy to fall off ?
Am I going to have issues with a ABYC
Surveyor?
Yes... comments and suggestions are welcome
