Replacement navagation bow light

My old Aqua Signal series 40 bi color bow light has become a corroded mess. It needs to be replaced. Apparently, Aqua Signal has exited the recreational market and no longer makes a replacement light. Any recommendations for a replacement? I have a tang welded to my bow pulpit and it would be nice if I could find a replacement that would mount and wire like my old Aqua Signal.

Re: Replacement navagation bow light

I was able to use the same bracket (tang) but had to drill a couple new holes when I replaced mine. New light was much smaller.

This is the first I've heard that Aqua Signal is out of the 'recreational' market. First hit was West Marine. There are several other chandlers carrying them when I do search online.

What makes a recreational vs a commercial bi colored light??

Re: Replacement navagation bow light

Thanks Shrew but if you go on the WM site, you will see that only a few remaining configurations are still available. I was finally able to get through to the Southwest regional sales manager for Glamox who owns aqua Signal now and he confirmed that they have not been manufacturing recreational lights for almost 3 years. They are out of the business when inventories run out. I have checked every chandlery web site I can find with no luck.

Aqua Signal still available from older stock. At places (online).

Some Hella Marine fit Aqua Signal parts (in our case the top unit tri-color - we kept the base and only swapped the 'glass' part.

Re: Replacement navagation bow light

I binned all my Aquasignal kit some years ago.

I replaced with Hella, https://www.hellamarine.com/shop/nav...igation-light/ , 1000% better quality.

The Hella bicolour uses the old mounting plate with minimum modification.

I do however still have my Lucas (Prince of Darkness ) sternlight which still has its original 40 year old incandescent bulb.
