Remote Monitoring Victron MPPT Controller w/ RPi

Has anyone used the VRM Portal and Victron Venus OS Free Software with a Raspberry Pi to Remotely Monitor your Victron Controller?

It doesn't look that hard to do if you have loaded the software on your RPi SD Card in the past.

I haven't used the RPi version of Venus OS, but it's reported to work well. I don't see why it wouldn't work the same as the version of Venus OS installed on the Cerbo GX I have on my boat. I have mine connected to our onboard wifi so I get a constant data feed from the boat to VRM regardless of where we are. It's worked well for a bit over a year since I installed it all.

That's good to hear.

I think I'll go ahead and load the software on one of my RPi's when I have time and test it then go from there.

Looks like a fun project and I already have one VE Connect Cable.

From what I understand, it works well. For me, by the time I added in the VE.Bus interface (for inverter/charger, CAN interface (for N2K and BMS), and 3x VE.Direct interfaces, it was just cheaper to buy a Cerbo GX
