I hope someone can tell me something good...
Boat has been inside a shed having some
work done for the past three weeks. Before that, it was in the
water, attached to
shore power.
Batteries are already down to 11.5V. Not too surprising - there's a significant draw - 2-3Amps which so far I have been unable to find. (How can I not find a 3A draw?)
Today I connected a regular extension cord into the boat's
shore power - and the main breaker board registered 120V shore connection - but the
Prosine did not. I was therefore not able to use the
charger...
So - 2 questions - how can I possibly be drawing that much
current? and Is it possible that the
prosine doesn't like the home extension cord - and won't charge or is something else going on?
Is it possible that the 3A draw is something to do with the Prosine? and if I replace it I might fix two issues?
Appreciate your thoughts...
