Metal tanks are disallowed. No grounding anymore. Poly tanks only.

Ignition protection in compartment tank is installed in. Definitely.

You got me. Lol

Non ferrous tanks, metal ok. . I made my tank decisions 5 years ago so I'm as rusty as a black iron gasoline tank. Ha ha.

So based on the fact that metal corrodes, I went poly, which a LOT of sources suggest over mixing metal and gasoline.

You're right.

Mine have been permeating fumes for 5 years now and it's annoying. Sorting out the venting issues now after not working on the boat that whole time.

Note:. It's VERY simple to install a gasoline tank below decks. Just follow the rules and buy approved components. The ventilation is the most difficult part.

Yes, You are right, all approved components and just a question of finding a good match.

In Ref to FUEL SYSTEMS

Page 4 Figure 2 GENERAL FUEL SYSTEM

You think that is a workable model and good start ?
It´s all there and is the HOLY LINK engine with fuel supply.

and in particular

and specially

Trying to find a way for a SEMI PORTABLE EXTERNAL TANK ?

It´s ugly but You gotta store the Dino Juice somewhere.
