REALLY want RGB LEDs on our mast
(and I'm a goofball too, so why not).
The transformer puts out 12V so my intention was to cut it off and wire directly to the female plug
. But I want the remote
receiver to be inside the boat
which would mean the 4-color ribbon cable would be what has to pass through the deck
to the mast
, and I'd need a disconnect available for when I take the mast down. I do have extension wiring
that could go between the controller and the light strips. Maybe I just need a waterproof junction box I can put over the connection and use a standard pass through fitting?
OOhh... maybe this. I can cut and reconnect
I'd appreciate your thoughts on how to do this, not whether I should
