Oklahoma house bank/charger/inverter recommendations??

I know this is elementary for most of you but I just bought an '84 Catalina 27 and I live in Oklahoma and will only be on the boat for weekends and what not but Im wanting to put together a good house bank/charger/inverter and I'm looking for recommendations.

Basically what I would like to accomplish is enough power to run tv, mini fridge, lights, loud radio, and other small accs. Im willing to spend more than I probably should so I can familiarize myself with the systems as I plan on cruising sooner than later (in a bigger/different boat obviously). That being said I would still like to accomplish this as affordable as possible.

Off the top of my head i'm thinking 6vX4 but i'm not married to that and I have no idea what direction to go when talking about charger and inverter?

Any input or discussion will be appreciated!

I use a lot of magnum ms2012 charger / inverters. they have been good.

4 golf carts would be a good start. and probably fine on a smaller boat with not much on it.

that inverter / charger might be too big for your needs though. depends what you have and want to run.

Ok, I'll try from a desk top. The search function from my iPhone brings up zero results on anything I search for, I must have something set up wrong.

the things you listed should all be run with dc and wouldn't need an inverter.

if you want to run a microwave, coffee machine etc. then you probably need something in the 2000w range. if you just want to plug in a laptop. you probably only need a few hundred watts. same with an AC tv. but I would try to find a DC one.

Re: Oklahoma house bank/charger/inverter recommendations??

Thanks for the input but there is already some ac stuff on the boat. i've been trying to do a lot of research and all I get is general commentary about battery banks. The real reason I posted this was to get recent experience with current brands and set ups. I know there has to be a lot of you professionals that know the best way to accomplish what i'm trying to do. I have plenty of experience with general 12 volt systems but not 6v to 12v to 120 etc. Anyway if there is anyone that wants to shed some light on my OP it would be much appreciated. I'm trying to keep from learning the hard way.

Cheers!
