Kudos to IRENE for their post #10 whom nailed it.
Very interesting fault, the breaker faulting action must be just enough to make the run relay contacts chatter and drop the
generator, but insufficient to drop the run relay when the bypass switch is on.
Certainly a heads up for those with NL generators with un commanded shutdowns whom read this thread in the future, start with checking the 15 amp breaker.
