Norcold DE 0041 AC/DC

hey everybody when hooking up frig to 110 do i need a seperate switch between power braker ref?and the same?for the 12volt side?also when you are on 12 v and switch to shore power must the 12v supply be turned off first?or will it switch automatic?the same?from switching from shore power to 12v thanks ps what size wire for 12v about 10 ft run? thanks again bcclew

read the manual that belongs to your frige. Some friges run on either power source and are 'smart' enough to do their own internal switching. As an absolute, you should never cross-connect AC and DC wiring. If you are the least unsure of what you about to do or about the proper breakers, fwires, fuses switches the best advice is to retain a professional. If you burn up your boat and found at fault your underwriter will have a few words with you.

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, bcclew.

Manual switching is NOT required.
Just connect DC to +/- terminals, and plug cord in to AC outlet.
AC is the primary source, and the fridge switches automatically to DC when AC unavailable.
