Sure could use some help…
I’ve got a new Xantrex XCPro
Marine 3000. It is supposed to be
charging 2- 300 ah Ampere Time
Lifepo4 batteries in parallel. The Xantrex works great, does everything it is supposed to do, except charge the
batteries.
I have been working on this for almost a month… I have gotten a new inverter/charger from Xantrex.. bench tested, and works great.. on the bench. When installed in my
boat, it also bypasses
charging the batteries.
I assumed it was the batteries, except the Xantrex does the same thing with my
AGM starting batteries…
The Life4Po batteries, which have A BMS in each, do accept a charge from both a separate
charger and the
alternator. The settings are all correct, as confirmed by both Ampere Time and Xantrex.
So, looking at the entire system, the only thing I could find that was not up to specs was the AC
wiring. It is supposed to be 6awg, but it is 10awg. I will upgrade that, but I wouldn’t think that is enough to cause the problem I am having.
Does anyone have any possible solutions? Thank you very much.
