Nanni alternator

Just wondering if anybody knew of a replacement alternator for the stock alternator supplied with Nanni engines. My alternators are AER 1701 14v made in Slovenia, mounted on Nanni N3.30's. I would like to carry a spare but internet searches and trips to the local auto parts stores have not come up with anything. I am sure I could source one through Nanni, but the cost would be pretty outrageous. (For example, a starter for my N3.30's is almost $300 usd. I found them on ebay for $40.)

$300 is a bargain compared to some. The alternator doesn't have to be a Nanni. Just measure the mounting feet and match to a new one. There are standard dimensions among frame sizes. The Leece Nevile are reasonably priced a good. Dont get a clone. Mainsail sells them on his website and has great articles on them.
