Agreed. In it's simplest form you use the DIP switches. When you accompany the
charger with the Easy View 5 and the Master Adjust
software you can tweak and manipulate the parameters in many ways. I was between
Victron and Mastervolt for my system and this charger is what swayed me. It also saved me
money associated with new alternators.
RE the DIP switches, you set them for each battery bank. 1,2,3, etc. You choose battery type for each of the three banks.
