Meter question

I have 2, 100 watt solar panels in series charging 3 wet cell Group 27 batteries.
I have a Morning Star Sunsaver MPPT controller, (Temp compensated) with remote meter. What I do not understand is one of the Battery readings...

pressing the arrow button I get different readings for the battery:
14.08 v (Batt voltage)
31.30 aH (amp hours added to the batt)
12.44 v min (Minimal Voltage)
14.28 v max (Max voltage)
and finally: 54.25 v A ??? What does the last reading tell me?

Sounds like the amount of power the solar panels are currently putting out. Volts x Amperes = Watts.

Sorry, I forgot to add that the meter also shows: 3.98 A (amps from the panels)

52.45 VA ((aka Watts)) your current panel output) / 3.98A (your current Amps from the panels) = 13.63 V = your current charging voltage

So I should compare that Number to 200 (total # of watts available)

Yes, but don't take it as what the panels are capable of putting out. That is only what your batteries in their current state of charge plus your current loads are capable of accepting.

If you want to know what the panels are capable of at a particular point in time, keep switching on lights, fans, instruments etc and see what that number peaks at.

Provided your regulator is NOT in the 'absorption' mode.

Many will not re-set till the low volts point is crossed.

I found a walk around for our meter (Bogart) where you can disconect the solar for a short while then start many appliances and push the voltage below the re-set point. At this point reconnect the solars and watch your full potential.

Just remember to switch off the loads later ;-)
