Maybe your deck can double as your batteries....

Volvo has developed body panels that are the batteries...

Wash your car and get a shock?
In a collision, sparks fly?

Yes,the decks would need to be snap on like tupperware! They should make them like that now with all the core issues! Oh wait... they almost do!
Probably best used on disposable boats, kind of like your glass face I phone.... just recycle it every few years....

Seems more sensible.. and simpler/cheaper to make your keel your battery.... complete and swapped out when dying..
lift/drop/fix new one... old one back to factory and redone

If the keel was the battery, maybe you could make it so the cells could be replaced one by one when they go bad, or you could pull them out and give them a scrub and put them back in. Sounds like an idea boatman.

Thought about it when I saw some 18x9x48 tall batteries that slotted into a purpose built space.. see no reason why a hollow keel could not carry maybe 3 or 4 like these.. simple enough to waterproof em.. just lift out and slot in the new ones
