Masthead LED fresnel lens lighting

Does anyone make (and does it work well) navigation lights combining fresnel lenses with led lights.

I googled this and found some commercial equipment, but nothing in the small boat range.

It seems like this would be a way to use smaller LEDs OR increase the distance that lights can be seen.

I've thought about an LED bulb inside an old fresnel lens, but some of the new high intensity LEDs inside a fresnel lense specifically designed for this purpose would be better.

I bought a masthead LED from Lazalas and changed the rest of my nav lights to theirs as well
