I have been an advocate of SmartPlug as a replacement for Marinco 30A connectors for a long time. They did have a recall/upgrade to the innards of the 30A connector, which they sent me for free, and it was a nice updgrade. I do have a small crack in the shell of my plug based on dropping it on the dock, which I should replace.
Why not? My thinking is that it should be OK as the the amps will be 10 or 15 amps max. I was thinking of changing the 150v voltmeter in the Blue Seas switchpanel, the internal power outlets and dockside end of hefty powerlead.

Widely used in Europe for 230v / 16 amp single phase power, and just as unsuitable.
