Re: Low voltage cutout for freezer

And putting in the right gauge wiring, done right done once

I size for 1% V drop whenever practical. Certainly not hard for a max 10A load.

Blue Sea calculator app Circuit Wizard is great.

Re: Low voltage cutout for freezer

There are three settings you need to have available and which are all user settable:
1: Cut off voltage (Usually just above 12.00 VDC)
2: Cut in voltage
3: A reaction time delay to prevent nuisance tripping at any momentary voltage drop (Usually 5 to 10 seconds.)
This device allows all of these so you can set and if needed alter to arrive at the optimum settings for your project.
Part number: ZHRV5-02 DC12V then connect via a relay for switching.

Re: Low voltage cutout for freezer

if you are going to put something in that cuts power to the freezer. you better have a way to know power was lost to it?? otherwise you maybe just thawed and refroze your food without knowing...
