Looking for replacement SunPower solar panel

'm looking for a replacement Sunpower 327 watt solar panel in the Stuart, FL area. Sunpower dealer won't sell individual panels.

One panel in a two panel array is broken, so I prefer to replace with the exact same panel, E20-327-COM.

What kind of business model is that? Not selling replacement panels? That sounds crazy.

Wait until you start shopping for panels. It is very common. I suspect that the primary market is home solar and they don't feel like dealing with us small fish.

Friends have bought 400 watts of panels from them.
I'm getting ready to buy 3 flexible panels from them.

Coastal climate control in Annapolis. They are great! Excellent customer service, and they will spend time with you (first hand experience).

The Panasonic HIT is just as good as the sunpower and they are much more available.

Re: Looking for replacement SunPower solar panel

tljohnson,
Sorry to see your panel damaged, but there is a Sunpower dealer in S. Florida that will sell you a new panel.

SALT Systems / SALT Services in Marathon is a Sunpower dealer, and they've been in the alternative energy business (both on offshore boats and off-grid homes on land) for decades!
And, I've happily done business with them for many years!

Ask for Chuck or Bob

https://www.saltservice.net/energy/solar-energy-pv/
https://www.saltservice.net/about-us/staff/

https://saltenergy.com/

I've done business with them for years....and have some of their products on-board my boat, still working fine....Great guys!

{And fyi, Bob Williams has forgotten more about solar on boats than most of us will ever know....remember he's the guy that (together with Steve Dashaw) coined the phrase "Amp-Hours, per-Day", way back decades ago...and came up with one of the first "battery system monitors", etc. etc...}

Now, I don't know if they will have an e-series panel or not, nor do I know if they'll have a 327watt version, but you could call 'em and ask.
(I was planning on going with the X-22 360watt panels when upgrading my solar array....just waiting 'til next year to afford it...LOL)

BTW, I also did business with E-marine many years ago, and they're good as well....but, they're not Sunpower dealers.

Hope this helps.

John

Re: Looking for replacement SunPower solar panel

The Sunpower offerings within the past few weeks have been removed from all major resellers listings. I use Altestore.com and the largest number of panels offered were Sunpower and today they are gone. So I dont know what happened. Sunpiower folded, closed that division, I dont know. You are probably going to have to identify a comparable spec panel from someone else.

FWIW, While not the exact same, Maz Ocean @ Harbortown Marina in Dania Beach may still have a few of the Sunpower X22 370W panels available (we just installed 5 of them.) They are the same size as what you have now.
