KISS . . . My Battery Bank

my boat a 28footer with 2 new deep cycle marine batteries, witch will serve for...vhf...navigation lights...2 cabine lights...and I will charge a small pc once a day.
this is about all my electric needs while on the hook.

what size solar do I need?
do I need a charge regulator?

Some more details would help zero in on a more specific answer (a lot of your usage is lighting how much of this is LED? What is your cruising location and time of year?), but somewhere around 80w would be my estimation.
Yes you would need a regulator with this size panel, but they are not expensive or difficult to install.

no led only 25w regular bulbs. they will be used one at a time 1-2h max. I go to sleep early. wont be using the boat until next pring, however if I was using it today id use 60w bulbs for the extra heat benifit.

so I do need a regulator!
thanks
