Hotwire Anti-Vibration Wind Mount

I am mounting an air breeze on a radar arch and interested in the vibration isolator sold by Hotwire. Has anyone used this mount and how impressed are you? This mopunt is the white 3 inch pipe with rubber isolation pad inside the white pipe. Thanks in advance.

Hi Eddie:

I've got one for my KISS generator, also from Hotwire (who are terrific by the way, and have been extremely helpful in the post-sale environment as we circumnavigate -- big shout out to John and Libbie!).

I don't know what the vibration scenario would be without the sleeve, but I will say that the KISS + vibration is pretty much the quietest generator I've seen/heard as we move from harbor to harbor. I've got a cat, and the generator is mounted on the stern arch, and it's rather vibration free nearly all of the time. I have noticed a certain respnant frequency where the arch vibrates a bit -- maybe around 16 knots, but it is more the function of the arch I think, since it disappears in greater or lesser winds, and in any even is only noticeable when I'm lying in bed (said bed located just underneath the relevant side of the stern arch).

Hope this helps; seems like a good investment to me.

We've got the Hotwire anti-vibration wind mount on our KISS also. Ditto what dglauds says. We're pleased with it and the KISS wind generator.
