Hooking up an inverter

I am getting ready to install a 750 watt inverter, (Canadian Tire grade), about 12 feet from the house batteries. I would love some advice on this. What size wiring should I use, and what switching would you recommend?

A set of instructions should have came with the product giving you wire gages with length.
Also I would recommend soldering the ends on the cables. They'll conserve a little power.
e.g. On my 1000W inverter for 3 feet I used #2 gage.

No instructions - not so lucky. Came with short wires and spring-loaded clips.

I think you may have made a poor choice ofg equipment (based upon price?). You’ve got a portable unit, not intended for permanent installation - and will likely have a “noisy” square wave output.

24 Feet (12' Pos + 12' Neg. ?) at 750 Watt / 12VDC requires minimum #2 AWG Copper (bigger is better, even up to #2/0).
Install a 60 Amp Fuse (Pos) at the Battery.
Install a 60A 2Pole (Pos & Neg) Disconnect Switch anywhere convenient to operate, between fuse and unit.
