Honda 2000 generator recalled

heard this on the news today. honda is recalling it's 2000i generator because of possible fuel line leaks leading to fire hazard. according to the report there have been four reported leaks but no actual fires.

You should note that it only effects model EU 2000i with serial numbers between EAAJ-2260273 and EAAJ-2485025

Thanks for the head's up. I passed this along to a friend who also has a Honda 2000. Tomorrow I'll check my serial number.

right you are, jeremiason. i should have made that clear in my original post. i apologize for frightening all 2000i owners when only some of them are involved.

i myself have owned a 1000 for several years and swear by it....

Where is the S/N typically located on the unit? Mine is currently some distance away.

What to do if you have one of these units? simply check connection and adjust?

You're supposed to send it to a Honda depot for free repair, but frankly, it doesn't sound like a difficult fix.

My S/N is below 200000, so I'm good.
