Help with Mastervolt Issue

I have a Mastervolt Mass Combi (Inverter/Charger) on my Leopard 48. Very recently, the MasterView Easy display (the control panel for the MasterBus network), which is mounted on the electrical panel, displayed only a "blue box," lacking any of its usual digital readouts. The MV Easy connects to the Mastervolt MasterShunt 500, an enhanced battery monitor, which processes and transmits battery state data via a UTP patch cable to the MV Easy display.

According to the MasterShunt 500 manual, the flashing green LED lights on either side of the MasterShunt which I am receiving indicate the MasterBus has activity; however, sometimes they flash at 10 second intervals, which indicates no MasterBus activity. Has anyone using a similar Mastervolt system experienced this problem? I switched out the patch cable, and have ruled it out of the equation.

Many thanks.

Frank

Re: Help with Mastervolt Easy panel Issue

Frank,

I jave the same issue.
Mastervolt Masterview Easy panel connected to a Combi by a Combi interface and additional control by a PC interface.

The panel can be turned on and off and locked by the button. Light comes on and off.
The panels color can be changed by the PC to red.
The panels tough screen still works because you can see the state of the Combi changing.
However, since the panel does not show data, menu's or graphics you do not know what you do (you start the inverter wiyhout knowing and draining the batteries!).

Have you solved it already?
Do you know more yet?

Before my screen died it worked intermittently. I had to take it of the Masterbus and reconnect. This work-around worked for 2 months.
I have taken the panel home for the winter, because it could be moist. This has not helped. I tried this weekend. Same result as listed above. Screen light on, but no datascreen. PC works.

Re: Help with Mastervolt Issue

Have you contacted Mastervolt Holland? We have a similar setup but without any issues but when I installed my LiFePO4 MV batteries I had some queries and they were extremely helpful. Contact details are on their website. Get it from the horse mouth!

Yes, we had the same problem. Issue was with the display. We had it replaced under warranty and the problem was fixed.

Re: Help with Mastervolt Issue

I contacted Mastervolt (Florida), who was very helpful and provided me a new MasterView Easy under warranty. Their Technical Service Representative is Jody Foster, 800.307.6702.
