Greetings from newbie and longtime lurker

Hi, Scott here. Longtime lurker and dreamer taking one step closer to the dream with the purchase of a 30' Allied Seawind Ketch.

This IS NOT a solicitation, the following offer is made pro bono.

I am a nationally certified solar expert with over 10 years experience ranging from small battery/hydrid systems to utility scale generation. I have helped many boat owners with solar decisions.

Feel free to message me with questions or to discuss your design/equipment choices.

Thank you everyone! Reading this forum from time to time has kept this dream alive over the years!

Re: Greetings from newbie and longtime lurker

Wind and Hydro is what got me interested in renewables in the beginning but unfortunately it doesn't work across a broad geographical area like solar. On the terrestrial scale I spend a lot of time talking people out of the small generators people use on boats. Once I start talking about the swept area and tower heights needed for an effective home or small commercial installation the conversation usually turns back to solar. The cost has come down SO much over the last 10 years.

In the end though wind is just another form of solar energy

LOL.. I was just teasing.. wind is my low budget choice.. living and sailing in windy areas mainly.. however when flush I do like a combination set up at the stern.
