Generator fuel pump

My Fischer Panda 4500 generator has a leaking fuel pump. I have an extra fuel pump onboard but although the original FP pump runs at a maximum of 3.8psi the spare one I have runs at between 4 and 7 psi.
Will I cause undue harm to the generator by using a pump with this higher pressure?
