Firefly L15+ in series

Feeling dopey with so many hotshot lithium geeks around, but here goes.

Three four-volt batteries. If battery A's positive is to the boat's 12-volt system and A's negative is to battery B's positive, then battery B's negative goes to battery C's positive and battery C's negative goes to the boat's system.

Surely it can't be that simple. Have had T105's in series/parallel for years, but needed a lot more wires.

Re: Firefly L15+ in series

That is how you do it. I love my Firefly G31s. Good luck with you L15s.

Cheers, RickG

Sounds correct. I believe if you have temp sensor, it should go in the middle(if I recall correctly).

I have firefly g31 and so far so good. Only two of them but considering adding another 1-2

Thanks for the assurance, sailors. Will report back once I have put the L15s to some grief. Cheers

Re: Firefly L15+ in series

Yes, I replaced three 4D Lifeline AGM with three L15+ FF Oasis. Very happy with the batteries. I keep saying that the L15+ has significantly longer expected life than the G31's for basically the same money. This assumes they fit your amp hour needs and space requirements.

In your case, keep the jumpers that came on the batteries in place.

Re: Firefly L15+ in series

Also keep in mind that with 3 in series. The jumpers are carrying 100% of current in use. And need to be large enough. Ideally same size as the Cables leaving. Vrs in a series / par setup the jumpers are carrying less current each. And can be smaller.
