I find I am using my generator different now with my FireFly batteries. In past if I were going to run the generator to supplement solar for battery charging i would run it in morning so solar could hopefully get my FLA completely charged in the afternoon to address the PSOC issue. Now since I don't care if the batteries only get to 90-95% SOC I don't run the generator till the afternoon. This means for my Honda I can run the charger and the HW heater at same time as the charger isn't sucking all the load. In the end less generator run time and at a lower load.
