I also have a bank of the early production fireflies. My 6th year of 6 month trips without shore power. Mine are still as good as new or better. It’s really sad that nobody has picked up the license and started a good production of them again. I guess that would be an expensive proposition.
We installed a bank of 6 in Trinidad. Cruising grounds Eastern Caribbean, live aboard. Never discharged below 70%. We had 660 solar and still had to run the generator daily. 130 AH @ 24 volts daily load. Failed totally in year 3. All bulged. We switched to Blue Heron LFP 3 years ago, a total game changer. Added solar to 985 watts total and are down to occasional generating only.
