Feedback of the Blue Sea VSM422

We have a FP helia 44 Catamaran with the factory produced and installed Eco Cruising Monitor. This is supposed to monitor batteries, tanks, usage and individual device input including AC shore power/genset charging. It does not work! (hate to be blunt but....) We want to replace it with a Blue Sea Vessel Monitor VSM422. Has anyone had any experience with the BS unit and can give feedback?

Before anyone comments we have analog gauges for fuel and water as backup.

Cheers

Installed one on a friends boat and it works well. All of electrical functions are pretty straight forward, but if you are going to monitor tanks with it make sure you can get the proper sensors.
