Electrical cleanup

I went on an electrical cleanup of my boat and came up with an unused charge diode. It is enormous. And was meant to straddle two batteries to permit always being able to start the outboard motors.

Well at some point this was made useless. Instead I want a simple way to charge the house from the outboards while motoring. These output 10 amp each and I am glad to use it. So I have a voltage sensitive relay which I plan to install according to the diagram that I’m still working on. This combines both sides when either side is above 13.3 volts.

I cannot figure out what I have to fuse for. Motors output 20a typical combined, house charger typically does 100 amp into the house.

Re: Electrical cleanup

Match the fuse size to the wire size. I think that #10AWG takes a 30 amp fuse, #12 AWG takes a 20 amp fuse, #8AWG takes a 40. These are numbers off the top of my head so don't quote me but I think they are correct.
